WITH reference to previous correspondence, I am directed by Mr Secretary Harcourt to transmit to you, to be laid before Secretary Sir Edward Grey, the accom- panying copies of ordinances passed by the legislature of Mauritius with a view to carrying into effect the provisions of The Hague Opium Convention.*

2. I am at the same time to request that instructions may be given for the signature of the convention on behalf of the colony of Mauritius and its dependencies.
